A fearsome dragon terrorises a remote town, and a crack team of heroes is dispatched to deal with the threat. Unfortunately, Derrick, novice wizard, is on the team, and he's never done this before.

And if fighting a dragon weren't crazy enough, what should have been a straightforward slaying quest becomes a complicated mystery.

First, the local townsfolk insist there isn't a dragon, then the baron who hired them turns out to be completely mad, and to top it off, it all gets a bit complicated once a world-ending artifact comes into play and Derrick's the only one who can stop it.

It's all a bit much for a first time.
